WORK AT CAFE KINO...
CHEF (PART TIME)
& CO-OP MEMBER

We are looking to fill a part-time kitchen position starting at the beginning of April.

Between 7-17 hours a week, must be able to work set shifts:
every Saturday morning (7am-3.30pm) and
every other Sunday evening (3/4pm-11.30pm)


There will also be opportunities to pick up extra shifts through holiday/sick cover.

£6.19 per hour

Deadline for applications: 9am Tuesday 26th March 2013 (applicants must be available for interview/trial shift that week).

We are looking for people with a passion for creative vegan/vegetarian cooking to work in our busy kitchen. the ideal applicant will have a positive approach to working under pressure, be able to communicate and work well with others, demonstrate a professional attitude towards food and hygiene, and be interested in getting involved in the running of the cafe.

The role includes creating dishes, food preparation, cooking food to order throughout the day, clearing tables and cleaning the kitchen. It also includes being an active member of a worker co-operative, and regularly attending meetings.

FRONT OF HOUSE & ROTA CO-ORDINATOR (PART TIME)
& CO-OP MEMBER

We are looking to fill a part-time front of house and rota co-ordinator position starting at the beginning of April.

Front of House would be 9 shifts a fortnight, 3 of them at weekends. Shifts range from 6 to 8 hours in length. Must be available for evening and weekend work. There will also be opportunities to pick up extra shifts through holiday/sick cover.

Rota Co-ordinator is an extra hour on top of your normal weekly hours. In this time you will be expected to make sure the rota is in cafe in advance and to liaise with staff about holiday cover/gaps in the rota and make sure all shifts are covered.

£6.19 per hour

Deadline for applications: 9am Wednesday 27th March 2013 (applicants must be available for interview/trial shift that week).

We are looking for a dedicated, friendly and hardworking person with a passion for customer service and attention to detail to work in our busy cafe. The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, have a positive approach to working under pressure, be able to communicate and work well with others, and demonstrate a professional attitude towards food and hygiene. Good organisational skills are also necessary for the Rota coordinator role.

The role includes taking food orders, preparing hot and cold drinks, clearing tables and answering customer queries. it also includes being an active member of a worker co-operative and regularly attending meetings.

EVENT MANAGER (PART TIME)
& CO-OP MEMBER

We are looking for an Event Manager to work with us to run an exciting programme of events that adhere to our values and ethics.

This is a zero-hours contract, but will involve evening and weekend work.

£6.19 per hour

Deadline for applications: 9am Tuesday 26th March 2013 (applicants must be available for interview/trial shift that week).

You will be expected to work with our events team, and be will be responsible for running and supervising events at the cafe, including sound/technical engineering, setting up and cleaning of the event space, and liaising with all staff, volunteers and event organisers/performers.

You will be responsible for preparing, running and packing down events. The job also includes being an active member of a worker co-operative, and regularly attending meetings.

Through our programme of events, we aim to aim to provide a safe and creative space that will focus, strengthen and foster the communities that reflect the politics, values and aesthetics of Cafe Kino, including independent/DIY/avant-garde arts. feminism, animal rights, environmentalism, queer politics, anti-capitalism and anti-racism.
