Front of House Barista/Coop member

Hours per week: 21hrs (including every sunday from 8am til 3pm

Deadline for applications: 4th July

We are looking for a dedicated, friendly and hardworking person with a passion for customer service and attention to detail to work in our busy cafe. The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, have a positive approach to working under pressure, and also have an interest in becoming a member of our workers co-op. Being a member of the coop will involve attending voluntary meetings at least twice a month. The applicant must also be able to communicate and work well with others, and demonstrate a professional attitude towards food and hygiene.

The role includes taking food orders, preparing hot and cold drinks, clearing tables and answering customer queries. It also includes being an active member of our worker cooperative, regularly attending meetings and helping to run our business.

Chef/Coop member

Hours per week: 29hrs (4 x 7.25 hr shifts including regular weekend working)

Deadline for applications: 9am 5th July

We are looking for a person with a passion for creative vegan / vegetarian cooking to work in our busy kitchen. The ideal applicant will have a positive approach to working under pressure, be able to communicate and work well with others, demonstrate a professional attitude towards food and hygiene, and be interested in getting becoming a member of our cooperative. This involve attending voluntary meetings at least twice a month and helping to run our business.

The role includes creating your own original dishes, food preparation, cooking food to order throughout the day, clearing tables and cleaning the kitchen. The ideal applicant will have experience of working in a professional kitchen, although this is not essential.

do you have any free time at the weekends? do you want to volunteer in a cooperative with like-minded people?

cafe kino is a not-for-profit cooperative owned and run by its workers and run in part by volunteers. we are working together to create a place that is open, fair and supportive.

we have the following shifts available for people to help out in our busy cafe:

saturday 12- 2pm
saturday 2-4pm
saturday 4-6pm

sunday 12-2pm
sunday 2-4pm
sunday 4-6pm
